15th Congress of the European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT) (25–28 June 2022)
The 15th EACPT Congress, themed “Clinical Pharmacology: Now, More than Ever!”, was held from 25–28 June 2022 in Athens, Greece. Organized by the European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics with local support from the Hellenic Society for Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, the event brought together international experts, young investigators, and clinicians to advance therapeutic innovation and education.
The program featured a pre-meeting for Young Clinical Pharmacologists on medical cannabis research, mobility support, speed networking, and prescribing education platforms. The main congress included plenary lectures on hepatic ADRs, regulatory speed, COVID-19 lessons, and AI tools; symposia on pharmacogenomics, immunopharmacology, advanced therapies, systems pharmacology, and drug repurposing; workshops on human challenge trials, peer review, and pharmacovigilance; oral and poster sessions; and awards ceremonies. Highlights encompassed joint sessions with societies like IUPHAR, ESPT, and ACCP, emphasizing translational research, personalized medicine, and global collaboration in clinical pharmacology.
