6th Annual Meeting of the Greek Society of Pharmacology (4–6 June 2010)
The 6th Annual Meeting of the Greek Society of Pharmacology took place on 4–6 June 2010 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Crete, in Heraklion. Hosted by Professor Kyriaki (Kiki) Thermos, the conference brought together researchers, clinicians, and young scientists from Greece and abroad to discuss advances in pharmacological research and education.
The scientific program featured plenary lectures, five symposia on topics including Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Novel Therapies in Retinal Disease and Neuroprotection, Drug Design, Gene Transfer Models, and Pharmacology of New Biological Drugs, as well as oral presentations and poster sessions. Highlights included international speakers addressing innovations in drug discovery, gene therapy, and clinical applications, alongside a special EPHAR lecture on pharmacology teaching.
The meeting fostered collaboration, highlighted emerging research, and reinforced the Society’s commitment to advancing basic and clinical pharmacology in Greece.
